Craigie Gardens Caravan Club Site

Hello there I was looking at going to this site at the end of May for a week .I wondered whether any of you had been to this site and what were you views about the site, area and place as a whole.

Your replys would be greatly appreciated thanks Mike.

Michael,

Been to this site two or three times but last time was approx four years ago. The site is up to the usual high standards of the caravan club with level pitches, all hard standing. Easy to get to if you follow the directions in C.C. handbook.

It is within a large park, garden centre with tearoom close by also. I think it is about a twenty minute walk into the town of Ayr.

At the time we were there a lot of work was being done on the seafront at Ayr, large areas were cordoned off and digging machinery was being used. I'm sure that has long been finished.

Would recommend both the site and the area for a visit.

Have been here many times. Great clean site surrounded by woods. Great for dog walks.

Nice walk into town along the riverside.

All the major supermarkets and plenty of takeaways.

Dont use Sat Nav for directions, sends you through the college, follow signs for race course.

Hi Michael,

I am just back from 3 days at Craigie Gardens and are normally there at least once a year As the others said it is a lovely site with an easy walk into Ayr {pipe delimiter}Town centre. Unfortunatley the garden centre and tearoom which were nearby are now closed. You can be assured of a friendly welcome from the wardens who are back for their 3rd season.

I would suggest you get booked very quickly as the site tends to get very busy at weekends ( we were asked to leave by 2pm yesterday due to a large number of vans due in)

Would throughly reccommend this site, you won't be disappointed.

William
