I have a 2 year old swift van, just been told it has 50% damp under front offside window, the dealer Marquis raised a claim under the warrenty 6 weeks ago, but the problem is getting worse. How long should we expect to wait for a damp repair as were new to all this? Thanks

^ weeks is too long to wait for a date for the repair. Ask your dealer for an update and a confirmed date for the repairs to be carried out.

However if you purchased the caravan new from the dealer, point out that you could claim under Sale Of Goods Act which does not involve the manufacture and thus its not dependent on the the manufactures opinion. The fact the dealer has started a claim with the manufacture they can't deny there is a problem which lies outside of SoGA.

We had damp under the front nearside window in our Swift Challenger last year.
Our dealer contacted Swift straight away and they authorised repairs. We took the van in and left it with the dealer for several days, as quite a lot had to be cut out and replaced with new.
We've had no end of problems with the van since new, but our dealer has been excellent about all the problems that have cropped up and Swift have always immediately sanctioned our dealer to do repairs etc.
Good luck with yours, I know what a hassle it all is when problems arise. You should have no problem at all getting a 2 year old van fixed, presuming you bought it new.
