Thinking ahead to next year or the year after, are there any good touring sites near to disneyland paris. We have done the Florida thing several times and also going next week ( yippeee ) but now we have bought our 1st caravan in future we want to get the most from it. any comments on visiting Northern France / Disneyland Paris, where is best to stay, do we do a full holiday near Disneyland Paris or are you best just staying there a couple of days and moving on else where? Many Thanks Andrew

We took the kids years ago and could not get a site near by.

The site we found was near Versailles and most of the people there were going to Disneyland.

We were advised to forget travel by road and take the 5 minute walk to the local train station each day. We boughj a very cheap family ticket that gave acces to the whole metro for a week and to and from Disneyland.

In the kids summer holidays we did three days at D'Land with trips into paris inbetween the days to break it up a bit.

The kids loved Disneyland but thought the Paris Metro was just as much fun.

Summed up as three days of queueing for 1 hours of fun it was good but draining.

The trains were so good and the family ticket so cheap if you can find the sites with train station near by. Leave the Paris roads to the French!
