Why do you think the 380 was designed for commercial vehicles? They are fitted as standard in cars by some dealerships.
As said because that is what Nextbase, the designers of the product themselves, claim.
That some standard car dealers fit them has to be questioned on logic grounds if not simply financial greed as there are more the correct choices out there.

On the subject of dashcams, IMO the rear ones are of at least as valuable to have as the forward facing. And on this rear viewing I way prefer those that achieve this mounted at the rear with the much wider field of view they give rather than those that try to get a view from the position near the rear view mirror.
I use Nextbase 212s repurposed as rear view dashcams.
These together with a camera warning label, "helps" if not cures most tailgaters, other than the thicker ones. You see the moment of recognition when about to get into the boot they twig what the label and camera are there for!
