Draining water system

Hi all

Although we have been caravanning for 15 years, I still am not sure how to drain the water system.

At the moment i drain the carver cascade water heater by removing the drain plug on site and putting it back in when we return to storage. However - how do I drain the cold water system ? ( I open all taps but the pipes are lower than the taps). I also am a bit puzzled as to how to drain the toilet (it has no header tank it feeds directly off aquaroll).

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Open the taps when you drain the Cascade. This will ensure that the water drains out. Additionally, remove the shower head (probably a Whale Elite) as these can retain water and split in freezing weather.

Hi Mike

So the cold water is drained through the hot water system as well ? And when i open the taps do i leave them half hot half cold as they are mixer taps ?

Thanks

Ian
