Just wondering if anybody else tows with a Td4? We have just changed our 2003 mondeo tdci for a 2001 Freelander Td4. We have'nt pulled our van yet which is a 2007 Elddis avante 505 but it should pull it with ease. I know there can be a few probs with the freelanders but i do all my own work so thats not a prob.

Thanks for the reply, glad to here of someone else with a td4. It's got to be much better than our old 2003 mondeo tdci (which was the worst tow car i have ever had)

Hi Paul, been towing with a Freelander TD4 for the last eight years no problem. Acceleration is a bit sluggish, but once up to speed tows fine.

Hi Paul

I started caravanning last year and purchased an 03 freelander 2.0 Td4. I love driving the Freelander. It is a bit sluggish pulling off towing the caravan but once it is going you do not know you have it on the back. It is a pleasure to drive.
