Fully serviced /super pitches

We are toying with the idea of trying out a fully serviced pitch - one with water and waste drainage on your pitch. Can anybody recommend any good campsites which have these pitches within 100 or so miles of Leeds please?

I haven't stayed there myself but I'm fairly certain that Skirlington Leisure Park near Hornsea has super pitches. It's nice and central, has a beach and there's a pretty large market / car boot sale there every sunday (and wednesdays in summer).

I have stayed there in a static but intend to take the Tourer next season. I'm staying on a 'super' pitch at Primrose Valley next month but whether that is a fully serviced pitch or just a hard standing pitch is yet to be seen. At 65 quid for the week I'll be very surprised!

Hi Annie

We used one of these posh pitches at Teversal, in Nottingham (Junction 28, M1).

To really take advantage, you'll need an aquaroll mains adaptor (acts like a ball **** in your aquaroll). If you don't have one, you can make one yourself or buy one from e-bay for about a fiver.

Oh....Teversal is a C&CC site, but I think non-members can use it.

I was at Primrose valley in June this year only payed

Hi Annie

Have a look at the CC site, Grange, Durham. They have a few fully serviced pitches As indeed does Ord House Country Park , Berwick Upon Tweed.

holgates caravan park [ they have a web site ] in silverdale near lancaster in the lake district, pitches also have t.v. connection all hard standings, lovely indoor pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, not commercialised has a small bar and shop, pitch ansd put, play areas for kids, overlooks morecambe bay, not cheap but well worth it

Two sites that have service pitches are Golden Square near Helmsley and Wild Rose near Appleby, both very nice sites

Thanks for all your helpful replies. We are tempted by a CC site which has some fuly serviced pitches. I normally book on-line but will I have to ring the site direct to book a fully serviced pitch? Does anyone know?

Hi Annie, We go to Thorpe Park just outside Cleethorpes, out of peak season they are euro pitches there its great, try itand see

Hi Annie, I book all our cc stuff on the website. If there are fully serviced pitches available you will be able to book them. However, I think they can go quite quickly. Hope this helps

Hi Annie - you could try Chatsworth park C.C site - nice site in a nice area. not to far from Leeds.
