Lisa ,I agree with you the police were well out of order to use battons on old ladies .These are probably the sons of the same police men who used battons and charged with horses at the miners in 1980Tony A
I used to ocassionally hunt with the Quorn and South Notts, had a really game horse at the time. Now I'm just a follower (I did participate in the events in London), I was outside parliament when the police bashed up old ladies and old gents (if I hadn't had seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it).
It seems it's ok for 'anti's' to air their views but not us 'pro's'. I don't want to fall out with anyone on this subject as I have had my fair share of that lately but we are all entitled to our opinions and hunting will always be an emotive subject.
p.s. and this is true - I was driving through Notts early one morning at 4.30am and found a fox in the road which had been hit by a lorry. It was unconcious, I made a muzzle out of two pairs of long socks, muzzled it, wrapped it in my jacket and placed it in the boot of the car. Phoned the animal accident rescue unit and waited one and a half hours for them to arrive. They took the fox to a shelter and rang me a week later to say it had recovered and been set free near the area I had found it.
So I'm not a total barbarian.
Lisa.
