I have used GT85 water dispersant and lubricant with PTFE for many years. Particularly I’ve used it on locks for caravan, bikes and home. Today I bought a new can of GT85 and on putting it in the garage cupboard I noticed the tin said nothing about PTFE. Upon investigation it seems the PTFE was removed in January 2024 and its attributes now read almost the same as WD40 Multi Use maintenance spray. But it’s half the price of WD40 General spray, and guess who now owns GT85? WD40 own GT85, and now offer a WD40 Dry PTFE Maintenance spray, at twice the price of the previous GT85.
