After a few good holidays further up in Cornwall, we fancy staying down at St Ives, and Polmanter keeps jumping out at me. Looks a very nice place from the brochure but would be pleased to get recommendations. If we go it will be at the most crowded time, ie next August.

Many thanks,

john.

we have stayed at polmanter a few times, and its always been in the main school holidays, however we found that on this site you were never on top of other people.

its been a few years since we last went as we couldnt get on last year as they were fully booked so we had to go else where ( did not go down well with the family) however if we ever went back to cornwall we would def go there again.

very friendly and helpfull staff and clean site, can walk into St Ives too

Hi John

Stayed there last year in Summer holidays, fab sight we had a hugh pitch although it was on a bit of a slope.

Toliets and showers spotless. Plenty of room in the bar/conservatory. Show did not have much in it, but Tesco's down in St.Ives.

Would go back and stay on this site again.

Spoke to people who had been going back year after year, they were booking their pitch for 2007 so get in quick if you are going. Also you are able to pick your pitch, have you viewed the website it shows you all the pitches and their numbers?

Hi Allyson,

Yes, We have been having a good look at the website, also like the fact that you dont have to arrive/depart on a summer saturday as long as you book enough nights, so I think that we are going to go for it.

Thanks for your comments.

Remember to book your pitch if you are thinking of a particular pitch just bear in mind that the one we stayed had slight incline Morvah 251, and the ones to the back of us where even more on a slope.
