Have only been to Hurn Lane, it's the usual standard that you get with CC sites, dosen't come much better, pitches are a good size.

There is no dog walk on site, you have to take the dogs outside onto a quiet road, good enough for first trip in morning. Bream beach is 5 min's drive up the road, great for dogs they can run for miles, you can drive onto the beach or park in car parks by the sand dunes.

Hope this helps you

Hi jo anne

Hurn Lane is good site, next door to large commercial site, to walk dog you can leave the site on foot, go down the quiet lane, and you will come to common, so lots of space, as also said beach is good for dog walking too, recommend 'The Place' along the road for food.

Cheddar site is not typical CC site, although it is improving, when we were last there the planned improvements were held up by an archaeological survey, site is next door to football club, dog walking is best along the lane outside the site, virtually traffic free, and goes alongside small stream.Large car boot/ market just up the road and a large garden centre with restaurant as well.
