hyundai santa fe, manual or auto

Hi,

we have an 07 manual. Road testers reckon there's a big step from 1st to 2nd (ratio wise) but I've not really noticed it in all sorts of driving conditions. 27/36 mpg towing/solo. Very refined car. At this early stage (did a 2,000 mile haul through France) would definately have another.

to all went to see the new santa fe and fell in love with it. there is a brand new not even registered silver 7 seater 2.2 cdx, auto, with privacy glass, self levelling suspension, leather the works you couls want for no more and it will tow our van at about 87% i think. our van is 1600kg fully loaded.

ill keep you all posted what i choose. it will either be a 2.2 cdx manual or a 2.2 cdx auto. going to test drive the auto tomorrow.

I have the new model Santa Fe. It is just a year old. Manual CDX7. I get around 36 -38 solo and 28 - 32 towing depending on how I am pressing on.

I tried both Kia and Hyundai [along with several others] before buyin. I have been a Frontera man for over 10 yers but they are no more and I got fed up of waiting fo the replacement. In my opinion the Sante Fe is far better all round than the Sorento. I found the Sorento ride very harsh even solo. I am well pleased now i have had the Santa Fe almost a year and 10k miles. It extremely good value with all the kit on it and the 5 year warranty is a definite seller. Not that i have used it!! The only other one I would go for is the Honda CRV but the kerbweight is just not quite what I would like as my van is a heavyish one.

You won't be disappointed with Hyundai
