On Thursday travelling to Worcester hospital up an incline there was a small car behind me riding right on my rear bumper and driven by a lady. On coming to the round about which has two lanes, one for going left and perhaps straight ahead and the other one for straight ahead or right turn.
The lady indicated that she was turning left while I was on the outside lane going straight across into the hospital. Going into the hospital straight across from the nearside lane was practically impossible due to layout of roads into hospital.
I proceeded to go straight across, but then nearly had a collision as the lady driver on my left pulled forward as if to go straight across. I saw her out of the corner of my eye and got ready to slow down or brake to allow her entrance to the hospital. However she then turned right across the front of our car causing me to brake harshly even though I was probably doing less than 10mph. Still not sure how I missed not hitting her as the Lexus would have severely damaged her car.
Goes to show that even working indicators are useless if the driver has not understanding of the road rules.
