Great pictures Lord B, I love the Highlands but the Highlands don't like me.

Last time I was up there the midges bit me from head to toe, literally and my dog was covered in tics

We stayed at North Ledaig C.C. site, near Oban, Tina. We went across for the day to visit Her Ladyships friend at Fionnphort. We caught a ferry about 7.30am and returned about 7pm. That gave us time to drive all around the island and spend time with her friend.

Hi Tina

We stayed at North Ledaig, just north of Oban on the other side of the loch (which is actually the sea). The site is great with sea views and a pebbly beach, ideal for walking dogs. You have less problems on this site of being bitten to death by midges!!! Walk along the 'beach' and you come to a pub overlooking the estuary. We stayed over in June (the longest day) and it was light all night long!!!

We have stayed at the C&CC site nearby, but this is in a walled area and we were bitten to death with the midges. Won't consider going to this site again between June-September!!!

Good luck

Ann

Roy my upper arms still have purple blotches from the midge bites last June/July, I was covered. They bit my bites because there was nowhere left. Guess what though, Her Ladyship never had one bite. I told her they dont go for bad meat :O)

L.B. What imaging suite are you using ? very nice pictures !
Tina I use a few, depending on the action. Some actions are better in one programme than another plus I haven't been able to get my head around some heheheh! . The ones I use are Micrografx Picture Publisher, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and Microsoft Digital Image 2006.

... I must add that I can now see why there are more Scots in England than there are in Scotland and I don't blame them. I couldn't put up with being bitten like that every year.

We were in front of you then Ann. After North Ledaig we moved on to Onich then to Brora where we spent the longest day.

Lord B. Nice and busy summer Irish campsite, all the vans and people in the field behind us were a bit much ;-)

My 2nd bestest friend really loved all the open fields and empty beaches as you can see.
