Manchester - Norfolk...best route

Hi

Any one give any advise on the best route from Manchester to Norfolk.

We are staying near Breydon Water 2 miles from Gt Yarmouth.

Thanks

Alan, if you use the route that Dave has suggested, I would recommend that you come off the M6 at junction 15 and pick up the southern section of the A500 to the A50.

There are currently large scale roadworks on the A500 at Stoke where 2 underpasses have been constructed. They have been reducing the road to 1 lane at certain times of the day which has caused lengthy queues to build up.

I have checked with Via Michelin and Autoroute and they both come up with M57 to M1 toM18 to A1 or (A57 t0 A1) to A17 to kings LynnA47 th Great Yarmouth

The other route suggested appears to take quite a way south of Great Yarmouth

I don't know which is best as it is not a run I have done.

Hope this helps

Albert
