*PASTED FROM NEWS STORY ON PRACTICAL CARAVAN HOMEPAGE*

DEAR All,

Thought this may be of interest!

A BRAND NEW caravan manufacturer is debuting its range of touring caravans at the Manchester Show in January.

Eterniti RV is a brand new builder of caravans for the UK market and is taking a unique approach. The vehicles are being built in the heart of American RV country in Goshen, Indiana but built on European specification BPW chassis. Once built, the vans are shipped to the UK, ready for the showroom.
The new models plan to mix the best of European and American touring technology to provide a uniquely appealing package.

Exciting project
Managing director of Eternti and caravanner, Phil Daniels is excited at seeing the project come to fruition, as he explains.

‘We’re really excited about this project, which our people have put a lot of time and effort into. We’ve assembled a core management team of five people, and between them, there’s a great mix of RV industry knowledge and solid experience of building successful companies, both in the UK and abroad. The aim is to get a high specification into a package that is light enough to tow behind European cars. Our caravans have been focused for the UK market from the outset and we can’t wait to get them in front of people.’

At this stage, Daniels is understandably cagey about the exact specification, but is confident that sourcing components in the heart of the enormous US RV industry gives them a significant advantage. He confirmed that the models include slide-outs for unrivalled on-site living space and that much effort has gone into making the new models look good. This last point in particular is a problem for many US-sourced leisure vehicles arriving in Europe.

Production of these exciting new models is beginning now in the factory just outside Goshen, Indiana. Daniels says the first models will arrive in the UK just in time to appear at Event City.

More detailed specification information appears in the January issue of Practical Caravan magazine which goes on sale in early December.

The Eterniti range launches at the Caravan and Motorhome Show 2012 which runs from 19-22 January. For advance tickets, go to the Caravan Shows website.

A quick Google on US press sites shows that the Eterniti Caravans will have GRP shells with electrically-operated aluminium slide-outs - initial layouts will be single axle 4-berth, single axle 5-berth, twin axle 4-berth and twin axle 6-berth - equipment levels will be "fully loaded" and prices £20,000-25,000 - the factory will have webcams installed so customers can watch their caravan being built.
There are line drawings of the front/side views and a glimpse of the interior in Sprocket's video.

We are in touch with Eterniti about the new models and it is intent on keeping weights sensible and equipment levels high, relative to other luxury UK tourers. I met them at the NEC and they are great blokes and deadly serious about this project.

Interestingly, there is no intention to sell the units in the US. UK first and possible export to Australia if all goes well. I can't wait to see them.
