we are unsure what to get next a 4x4 or not as i am looking forward and will me looking at getting a new van when it reaches 3 years old so it must tow more than the mondeo.

what do other people tow with and what do they think i should get next??

Hello Jon-George,

I think you may have missed typed something, can you confirm what the caravans MTPLM is as that really determines the car you need. also if you are definitely thinking of moving up but retaining your new tow car, again you will need to know what MTPLM your new caravan will be.

i would want it to pull about 1700-1800 as the next van will be a twin axle and as the new van are getting heavyer

Hi Jon George

Once you go to the weights you have in mind IMO it has to be a 4x4. We tow our Wyoming with a diesel Kia Sorento. I think it does the job very well but don't expect the Mondeo economy.

There are some excellent 4x4 bargains out there now.

Have a look at "uksorento.com". Also the landrover forums. Not sure about the rest.

Cheers

Jon-George, the Outlander from Mitsubishi is the same car and looks to be finished better, a mate of mine had the Citroen Crosser, gear box went after 5K, it could just be one off as it can happen to any car, both cars were developed jointly with Peugeot see back issue of CC on their Web for write up.
