Newbie with and oldie

We are in the process of re-commissioning my parents' old 1968 Sprite Alpine and would be grateful for any advice on sourcing spare parts in the Glasgow / West of Scotland area. In particular, the cooker could do with an overhaul.

The 'van has been sitting in their driveway for several years and there is quite a lot of surface corrosion on the chassis, but the brakes and lights work and the chassis seems fundamentally sound - it's been well ventilated sheltered by the 'van's body.

I'll be replacing the tyres and having a good look at the brakes and hubs. Although it's 40 years old, it hasn't done a high mileage and the brakes seem pretty effective, but does anyone know where I'd find brake components?

Any advice would be gratefully received - we'd like to get the old girl on the road fairly soon.

Sorry about the rogue "d" in the title!

I meant to ask if anyone knows the correct gross weight for the old Alpine? I'm sure it used to have a plaque saying it was 750kg, but I'd like to confirm this.
