Hi jenny. We travelled Belfast-Birkenhead (liverpool) with Norfolkline. We booked it at the Holiday Show at the King's hall in January. They were offering a great bargain which was free caravan and half price car which worked out at
 
That was a good offer, we are thinking of going to the show in January it would be well worth it if we can get our ferry for that price. Just have to now decide where to go, hubby and i would like to go to scotland somewhere beside the lakes does anyone know of a site there that would suit our friends who want the theme park thing and us who want beautiful scenery (to much to ask for maybe.

Hi guys. Have any of you stayed at any of the National Trust properties Mount Stewart or Castle Ward? Didnt realise they had caravan parks but just seen it mentioned on the National Trust website and quite fancy the sound of it. They have a few good family days out organised for the holidays.

Just back from a great weekend in Lisnaskea even the weather was kind to us.

I am pleased to report that Mullynascarthy C Park is a lovely clean and well run site with good hardstanding pitches and facilities.The toilet block was spotless and was well looked after by the Lady owner (Pearl)much to her credit definately worthy of NITB 3 stars.

We managed to visit Florencecourt House and the Marble Arch caves which was very interesting well worth a visit.

Great to see so many caravaners from N Ireland on here. Have just got back from a long weekend in Ballina Co Mayo, fantastic place just a pitty about the weather. We have toured around quite a bit and love going to Dungannon Park. It's a small quiet site overlooking the lake with just 12 powered pitches. It has a great play area and safe walks around the park. As it's a council owned site it's very cheap at
 
Here is a lovely new site in Co. Fermanagh just opened this year Rushin House Caravan Park Belcoo and our favourite Ballyness Caravan Park. Has anyone used Carnfunnock since the new toilet block was opened?
 
Hi all, sorry haven't been on for a while computer took a lazy fit, going again but not great.

Summer has finally arrived even if its just in time for kids going back to school. Never mind we head of to Kinego Marina this weekend only place we could get booked in to, never been so glad to read on here that someone has been and its ok. Is it just me or is it getting harder to book places at a few weeks notice, hubby works away so we done know when he will be home and trying to get a pitch has become impossible maybe its just in this area (co.Down) what about your areas?

Hope computer keeps going for another while.

Good to see your back on again,its been quiet without you. Have you tried Clare Glen Tandragee, its a good site. We are booked in from Monday for 3 days then heading up to Drum Manor Cookstown till sunday. Hope you have good weekend

We're for the share centre this weekend. hoping for some dry weather. We've found that most places have been booked out in advance even the places which last year we could have just turned up at no bother. Is there a lot of tourists visiting this year or has the rain concentrated the numbers going out on the odd weekend when it's been relatively dry?

We had not planned to go away at all this weekend but just decided on Monday when we got a glimpse of sunshine to take advantage of the long weekend. The only place we could get booked on was Round Lake in Fivemiletown. We haven't been there before but will just make the best of it. We have now pre booked for the rest of September just to be sure we get where we want and plan to be more organised next season.

Just got back from Carnfunnock had a fab weekend. So much to do for the kids and a lovely coffee shop. The facilities were really clean and tidy. Only downside was we didn't get to stay longer. Will def book for next year

Hi everybody,

just back after a week away,went to clare glen on monday all the weekenders left and we had the whole site to ourselves except for a black labrador who had been there all week so she ended with us sleeping in the awning all night. Next day we phoned the dog warden and stayed on camp all day but they didnt show so she ended up in the van as 3 more vans arrived (2hobbies+ 1 van),warden arrv. wed.Went to drum manor(cookstown)thurs again 6 hobbies, trailers and 4x4s but the ranger assured us they were regulars from england over for a month. Meet up with Bangor division of the c&cc on a rally. Everything was going well till 7-30 pm sat when a calvacade of hobbies, contessas, m-homes trailers that were definately not booked in as there was only 3 pitches left,you talk about a circus,they were our southrn irish cousins,so on sunday morn we all packed up early and headed home.

ps.the dog was no longer wanted so we picked her back up from the dog warden and gave her a new home, cats aren't too happy.

Hi all, computer been on blink again i am ready to put it in the bin, think i'll have to get new one. Been to Kinnego marina since last talking to you, we had a great weekend beautiful place only fault we had was the pitches our caravan is 26' long and the pitches are quite small also there was no where you could put up an awning very hilly, other than that we enjoyed our stay and will be back next year hopefully.

Just want to ask if any one has been to NEC show before we going over in October hope to change caravan this year. is it a good idea to buy at a show or stay with dealers here.
