Don't forget the radio - Educating Archie (A ventriloquist on the radio), Life With The Lyons, Rays A Laugh, Take it from Here, The Goon Show, Max Jaffa & THe Palm Court Orchistra, Any Questions, Friday Night is Music Night, Mrs. Dales Diary, Music While you Work, Children's Favourites with Uncle Mack, PC 49, Dick Barton Special Agent, Meet The Huggets, Two Way Family Favourites, etc. Also Radio Luxembourg with Take Your Pick, The Top Twenty on Sunday nights at 11:00pm with your DJ BA (Barry Aldic), - this is the sign of old age!!!!

Just to jog the memory further back do any of you remember Annette Mills and Muffin the Mule, Quatermass & the Pit, Wells Fargo, Emergancy Ward 10, Compact, etc. from the 1950s?
i thought muffin the mule was illegal?..... :)

To take it a step further - what about the pop music of the 1950s?

The Shrimp Boats Are Acoming; Suger Bush I Love You So; How Much Is That Doggy In The Window?; Mama He's Making Eyes At Me; A White Sports Coat; What Do You Wanna Make Those Eyes At Me For?; Twenty Tiny Fingers; etc.

Remember Embassy records - only sold in Woolworth - first memory I have of them they sold for 3/6d. and eventually the price went up to 4/9d (old money). Only available in the large 78rpm size I believe. Now a poser for you - What was the only No.1 hit for Embassy records?

What about Dick Barton special agent, what imagination I had when that was on the radio light programme a 6.45 monday to friday . Then along came Hancocks half hour, The goon show both brilliant radio shows they kept me laughing a lot.
