Back on the old TV progs theme, last weekend we attended a charity Bingo evening (I hate bingo!)at the local church. When the caller said,"77,Sunset Strip", the vicar, who's decades younger than me and sitting on our table, said,"Why ever do they call in that!!". I had to explain! Robin.
That charity bingo session was an education, how about these;

8 and 0, Gandhi's breakfast. (ate nothing!)

7 and 5, Bottle of wine.

5 and 1, I love my mum!

2 and 3, a duck and a flea ....and so it goes.

What a sheltered life I've led!! Robin.

Colin a bit late perhaps, but weren't the Shadows originally called the Drifters, but had to change because the American group had it first?

Bruce Welch lived somewhere around Weybridge like Cliff Richards and was also a very polite man who shopped localy and seemed un-effected by his fame.

Cliff Richards never recorded on Embassy - he recorded I believe on Parlaphone. For your interest Liz I will relieve all - it was Freight Train by Nancy Whisky & The Chas McDevit Skiffle Group.

" BEND IT "

Bend it, bend it, just a little bit

And take it easy, show you're likin' it

And lover, you know that we're gonna hit

The heights 'cos I'm sure that we're made to fit

Together just like pieces of a

Jigsaw puzzle, what's the hustle

Bend it, bend it, just a little more

Without you, baby, I'm so insecure

But you can make me feel that I am sure

I've got a sickness only you can cure

So just relax, there's stacks of time, but honey

Please don't tease me - try to please me

Oh-yeah, that's good, oh-yes, ah-yes

Bend it, bend it, just a little bit

And take it easy, show you're likin' it

And lover, you know that we're gonna hit

The heights 'cos I'm sure that we're made to fit

Together just like pieces of a

Jigsaw puzzle, what's the hustle

Bend it, bend it, just a little bit

And take it easy, show you're likin' it

And ahhh... show me now, yeah that's right

Ah, oh yeah, yeah that's right

C'mon now, right right right
