Hi all, anyone know what these cars are like reliability etc. Think they do about 33 mpg solo but heard the v5 is a torquey lump so could make a good tug. Found an x plate with 60k fsh 1 owner full leather etc for £2800 which I thought was pretty good. Thanks in advance.
 
Hi,

my company used to run vw vans fitted with v5 unit,very torque and we towed mini diggers behind them ,loads of power however we had repeated head gasket faults with them.On a personal note i tow with a new passat 170 sel dsg which has acres of power but like all passats sometime have a little difficulty keeping front rubber on the road and they all eat front tyres like theyve got the tarmac munchies!
