Next week we are sailing from Portsmouth - are there any places within walking distance of the dock to eat?

lots it is only about a ten min walk from the center of town

We had a very nice meal at the pub just as you turn into the port area - and could virtually see the car and van from the window we chose to sit in.

Off the roundabout where you turn into the Ferry port that is a road called Kingston Crescent (just look for a big grey building called the Technopole on its corner) just inside Kingston Crescent there is a Hotel and Pub called The Sovereign, it is part of the Brewers Fair group, I think that is also a walkway under the M275 from the ferry port to the road, should take no more than 5 mins to walk.
