I have a socket set for the torque wrench and think it is 1/2 square drive. See pictures. I need to access and remove the 12v aux battery. I don't think I could use the torque wrench as it maybe too long. The the battery is located under the driver's seat so limited room to swing the arm. I would also need an extension at least 150mm in length.

I could have it done by a local garage, but they want a £68 fitting fee. I would appreciate some advice on ratchet size as a bit of a numpty in this area. Also those "tower" or bolt things that screw into the square terminal points, are they easy to remove?

A recent post of yours springs to mind.
I understand that, but if they are clumsy with a spanner, maybe they should not be working on a motor vehicle?
Funnily enough, that post was in relation to removing / fitting a battery. I think the same holds true for a 'numpty' who doesn't know which tools to use, or how to undo those 'bolt things'. Maybe you should let the garage do it. ;):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
