rav4 tow car ?

my husband and i are thinking of purchasing a new rav4 xtr.

2.2 diesel. just wondering if any one as experienced any problems and how do you rate them for towing. We own a bailey ranger 4 berth.

I've got a '57 plate Rav4 XT4 2.2 D4D, not a problem towing an Elddis Odyssey and superb solo not your usual 4x4 soft roader body roll, fuel economy not bad either.

One thing you might think about is lack of spare wheel, we were going to have an XTR until we realised it doesn't have a spare just an aerosol can of sealer and a pump. There was no way we were going to rely on that towing a van so went for the XT4 instead. Believe all specs come without a spare fitted in 08 but you can have one as an option- new rear door with one on the back as normal. If you have one with a spare on the door then you have to have a detachable towbar as the number plate is low on the bumper, no spare and you've got a choice of a fixed one as well as the plate is higher up the door, whatever you do don't have a Toyota one as it's a
