Rear lights not working

The two top rear lights on our caravan (Elddis) are not working.

The bulbs are ok, but there seems to be no power getting to them, all the other lights are working.

Does anyone know how these are fed? We can't find a wiring diagram of these in our handbook so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Becky

Are they both making good clean contact-sometimes over the winter in particular, a little bit of corrosion can form, and all that is needed is a rub with fine emery paper.

Hi

You should be looking for either a bad connection on the plug / socket, try some WD 40, give a good spray in both plug and socket.

Failing that, remove the plug, not entirely, just enough to ensure all wires are connected, do the same with socket.

You should find that one light is wired in pararell with the other, if you can establish 12 volt at one light look for a bad earth.

Regards

Hi Rebecca, If it is the rear marker lights you are describing and the other side lights are working as normal then the fault is unlikely to be in the plug/socket area. There is likely to be a multiplug/wireing block somewhere in the van that takes the power up to these lights and that would be a likely place to look.
