Reversing with a Kia Sorento

When I put my Diesal Sorento into reverse and lift the clutch without throttle, I have a initial burst of power then the vehicle calms down but still it carrys on until I touch the brakes or press the clutch. As you can Imagine when towing and trying to guide the van into its slot it can be a bit hairy. Is this the norm for a Diesal car or Sorento(54 plate). It has always been like this since I purchased it 4 years ago but I have never questioned it till now. That said, reversing up hill is a doddle.

Hi Percy

We always reverse our Sorie in low 4x4. No problems at all.

For tight space manoevering with the caravan always use low 4x4 .

Doe sthis help?

Cheers

Alan
