Scratched windows - what really works...

I have got some scratches in the ployplastic windows on my caravan and have tried a couple of products without much success.

I contacted Miriad products (UK supplier for Polyplastic) and they suggested either toothpaste or an acrylic polish called Acri-Polish.

I purchased some Acri-Polish from them which came in two forms, a standard polish for "light" scratches and and intensive polish for deep scratches. The standard polish brought the windows up in a lovely shine but did not remove that many scratches. The intensive polish just seemed to add more scratches which were then difficult to remove with the standard polish...

I also tried toothpaste which seemed to work a little better but still not that effective.

Has anyone had any real success at polishing out scratches from caravan windows? If so what product(s) did you use and how much effort was required?

Any advice greatly appreciated. I was thinking of trying T-Cut next.

Keep to your present thoughts Mark and use T-CUT , Ensure you use circular motions and wipe off well , buffing at the same time . Polish with something like AUTOGLYM afterwards and have many years of good window vision . Did it on mine 5 years ago and never looked back , the technos on here will say its incorrect but dont worry it does ( and lasts ) a MAGIC job .------ STEVE .
