I see that there’s conjecture in today’s papers that social distancing and face masks may have to continue to the autumn. That I can live with. But the comments about grandparents may still not be “allowed to hug their grandchildren “ would seriously undermine anyone’s confidence in the vaccines. Probably another misguided ministerial uttering, or media hype. Whilst we have been abiding by government regulations and guidance thus far, I suspect that we could become rule breakers. If there’s a prospect of opening some forms of hospitality then for two pensioners ( both jabbed) whose daughter has also been jabbed, to not hug their grandkids is fatuous.
