Not sure about a cultured wine enthusiast but I know what reds I like to poor down my neck.

Can't drink Stella tho' - love it but it has strange effects - I drank a few to many pints one night in a celebration and woke up in the night wanting the loo.

My wife woke up to find me stark naked peeing out the front door having a conversation with my neighbour over the road who was seeing his mother in law off after she had babysat for them (they were at the same celebratory "do") I do believe there is something in these strong lagers that do this to you then wipe your memory clean.

I had NO recollection of this the next morning and could not understand we my wife had the strop with me.

Slowly over the next day or so it came back.

I have never drunk Stella again.

God that must be bad for you.

Well Clive I used to work in pubs when I was younger. I saw a lot of things that cud make you laugh.

One such tail

We were just going to lock up the pub for that night the boss sad to me would you check the lades toilet. So I went to check them. Just push the door open and shouted in to see if there was some one in. There was a bang. I shouted the boss over we went in. We found a sixteen-year-old girl trying to push the tenpon mention out of the window.

We had to call the police.

Thank god for that Clive. I thought I was the only one, (not the standing naked while taking a pee during a conversation with the neighbour, that my friend is your ultimate humiliation alone ;o) ) memory fatigue being held against me in the morning. Apparently my language gets more free flowing and colourful and everything becomes edible. I have done worse but feel this is not the place to air those little escapades! The real trouble is that now, if I have a few beers and don't suffer memory lose the wife will still say I did something and I have no way of proving it, all I can say is I don't remember. Over the proverbial barrel! Never had this trouble drinking those nice German beers, same strength but a better quality (hint Lutz, cash awaits on delivery...only kidding) and not so much of a hangover in the morning.

Did your dearest see the funny side of your little discretion later on?

Got my receipt today, too.

Now what was that all again? Rhine wine, German beer, someone said Milchschnapps and Apfelkorn, and if I'm not mistaken there was mention of sherry, too. I have a feeling my caravan is going to turn into a mobile bar.

Last orders, please!

Well Lutz, if the order book is still open, a quick trip into the nearest Schnellimbiss wouldn't go amiss. Just go down the list on the wall and pick out what looks good. Get them to wrap it up nice"n"warm, remove the rear seats from your car and load up! Ah, just realised you can't import food, just bring the alcohol then, looks like my taste buds will have to go without a reminder of their youth....

Try: Freixenet Cordon Negro - must be ice cold. Absolutely brilliant cava.

I'll bring some along for you to try.

Might even give it a Postman Pat...(.")
Lmao! Imagine if it was a short-sighted postman, and thought it was a deformed canine trying to steal the letters, so gives it a tap on the nose with a Kay's catalogue.

I'll bring some along for you to try anyway. The survey is not going too well, think I'll stick to good old Cava.

p.s. off on a night out tonight. (Lager and lime).

Good that your off out tonight Lisa, don't forget to post something in the forum when you get back in, it's amazing how alcohol can make your thoughts and wishes so much more coherent.

No my wife did not see the funny side at the time but does think it funny now several year later!

Just told her Brians suggestion about using the letter box and her reaction was a disdainful-

"If I had caught you trying to s**g the front door - I would NEVER have spoken to you again".

We are still laughing !!!

Hi all,

All this silliness! funny costumes, strip dances! Drinking!

Well looks like I will be legless for the Easter event after all. AND I DON'T DRINK!

I will still be at the event, but I will probably be on sticks as it was decided yesterday that I need further operations on my legs. Scheduled for Feb with about 13 weeks on sticks.

So, sorry all. Unless there is a major change, the off roading is off for me during easter. I will still do it later if people are still interested.

Steve

PS, the wife is now very nervous as she has never towed before and the first time will be with our huge twin axle!!! So, she probably WILL need a drink
