Dave - Friends of ours bought one of these new in about 1998 and had nothing but trouble with it.
Electrical faults were the most problematic with windows staying down being the most common.
When the lacquer on the paint started going opaque in patches then peeling off they insisted on having their money back.
They bought a new Isuzu Trooper instead and said the difference was stunning. In the five years they had the Trooper I do not think it ever went wrong.
The only positive thing I can think of re the Musso is that if it is now 9 years old and still going then it probably has had most of the faults dealt with.
But do remember that any nine year old car, no longer made, and from a maker that no longer exists is bound to have a few problems and I doubt that spares are as easy as for other 4x4's.
I suggest a whole heap of caution and only buy if it costs a few hundred
