Tewkesbury Abbey cc site

Hi all,

Anyone planning a stay at Tewkesbury Abbey site is advised to contact the cc before travelling. Since last weeks rainfall, the road into the site was under water when I checked on wednesday and there didn't appear to be any info about the situation on the cc website. I've moved my planned stay in the area to Cheltenham Racecourse.

Cheers,

Mark

Mark,

The Caravan Club Has got news about flooded sites on its web site, although I have to admit it isn't easy to find.

Click on News & Events and then click on Club News and there is a list of all sites affected.

Just had to add my comment, after reading the two articles above. I contacted the club earlier this Year as I was angry having turned up at a site to be told after paying it was water logged, Up till then there was no notification on the Caravan Club web site anywhere telling members about the state of pitches due to heavy rainfall, the Clubs reply to me was that i should have phoned head office or the site first as not all members have computer access, fair comment, but I did reply that an awful lot of pitches must be booked members using computers!!& surely in todays computer dependent society it would be easy for them to have a pitch condition section on their front web page during bad spells of weather.
