toilet full light

Hi just got back from a short trip and even though the toilet (C250 CWE) is empty and clean the full light is on all of the time.
After 8 years we have only had the light on once and I am not too familiar with the working of it,
So I wondered if there is anything that I should know before I delve in.
I should maybe mention that the light came on after the trip home and was OK when on site

Does the light go out when the cassette is not in place?
If it does then it's lid off the cassette and arm in to free off the float 😱

Yes it does go off without cassette fitted, is there a special way to remove lid?

I would initially try a reasonably vigorous shaking of the cassette idealy quarter filled with a cassette cleaning additive in the water, here trying to flush away detritus like toilet paper jamming the magnetic float assembly. Saves getting the Marigolds fouled up and one of the less glamorous camping tasks.

Don't go mad enough to dislodge the float or then you will need the Marigolds.
