Vauxhall Monterey Weights

Hello

We are currently looking at changing our Omega for a Vauxhall Monterey 3.2i V6 Ltd 7 seater. I can't seem to find much info about it, as it's a few years old now, and I wondered if any of you knowledgeable people could help out please. We need to know the obvious things, ie kerbweight, max tow, although I think this is over 3000kg, max noseweight, and anything else you might know!

Thanks in advance,

Debra

Hello Deborah,

The obvious source for this information will the dealer network for the car in question or the manufacturer.

There is a real danger that information gleaned from a site such as this forum may be wrong, and if you base your loading calculations on wrong information you may be illegal.

The law will not accept faulty information as a defence in a prosecution. So do the right thing and ask the people who make or sell the car.

John's right but for starters these are the details of the 3.5V6 auto 5-seater Monterey that I owned until recently:

Kerbweight: 2101kg

Maximum permissible towload: 3300kg

Max. noseweight: 135kg

Hi Debra

We have a 1998 reg Vauxhall Monterey 3.2 V6 Diamond Automatic(5 seats) which we have owned since April 2001. In that time we have towed 3 caravans with it. First an Avondale Malvern (single axle, then an Avondale Landranger (twin axle 1500 Kg)from 2002-2007 and since this summer a Bailey Senator Arizona (single axle, 1500Kg). We had the car converted to LPG soon after buying it. That cost

The Vauxhall Monterey is n Isuzu Trooper with a Vauxhall badge. A colleague in work had one for many years and towed his caravan up hill and down dale with no problems. Spares should be as for the Isuzu.
