Vauxhall Zafira 2.2 petrol, 2001 model

Has/does anyone tow with a 2.2 petrol Zafira 2001 model?

Looking at changing the super unreliable TDi Galaxy for it.

whattowcar.com states towing limit of 1400kg's, Ours vans 1050kg max so should have more than enough go at 140 odd BHP.

Any comments good or bad welcome.
 
Will have plenty of power but will be a bit thirsty I would have thought. I looked into buying the 2.0 DTi but found it had a low towing capacity, so bought the 2.0 DTI Vectra which has an advised 85% capacity of 1207kg and ny van has an max weight of 1100kg so I dont struggle and get good economy
