Does the owners manual give any information. Or the owners forum. You could try a local independent as long as they use the correct oil and filter they would have the kit to turn of the reminder.

Google it. Used to be that you held the odometer zeroing button pressed whilst turning the ignition on and continue to hold until the display changed. Otherwise it needs either VCD software plugging in, or one of the OBDII hand-held devices that you can easily get on e-Bay. The socket to connect the hand-held device - if its like my Passat - will be pink and is located just under the bottom of the panel below the steering column. Its a down-on-your-knees-outside- the-vehicle-with-a-torch-to-find-it job!
As OC says if you want someone else to change your oil it does not matter about the brand of oil as long as it is to VW 504/507 standard (if the vehicle is newish) and either 5W30 or 5W40 is acceptable.

My independant garage in my area have the software for the majority of popular makes, can't see the oil or the filter being a problem, my last two vehicles had a synthetic oil, look in your handbook for oil and filter type, then make some phone calls,

The change of the oil i cannot do i am disabled in a wheelchair but thanks for your input .
Try a specialist independent such a VW-Audi specialist. I used one when I had a Skoda Superb and they used the specified OEM materials and for routine servicing tasks they had access and uploaded task details to the Skoda maintenance data base so the cars service history was maintained just as if it had been to a Skoda dealership.

I think Other Clives answer is spot on I would do the same by going to a main dealer. if. I could afford to, but my independant garage is staffed by motor engineers, but last time I was in there garage they did have an apprentice,

Moderator Note: A certain descriptive about the apprentice has been removed
.There is absolutely no need to be so derogatory about anyone , and that kind of thing will not be tolerated.

If you use an independent garage do keep the bill so that you have proof that it was done in the case of a guarantee claim.
VW have a covid web pagehttps://www.volkswagen.co.uk/covid-19 but it is not clear on your question. It does let you know which garages are open though or you can contact them for advice.

Our Navara is every 12500miles or 2 years-so am changing the oil myself at 6000 miles-esp with diesels-the oil even if it is synthetic soots up and isn't good for turbo bearings etc. Our minis are worse-18k miles or every 2 years whichever is first-do the same with them-oil change yearly which equates to around 6000miles. If you intend to keep the car it isn't a great cost. Mind the Nav is a bit hefty ; 6.3 litres of oil! Gulp hope my drain tray is big enough or it could be messy!!!

6.3 litres isn't a lot for a diesel - my Touareg needs 9.6 litres - the Flex service would allow up to 18,000 miles but I've got it set for Time & Mileage which is 10,000 miles or a year - having lost most of 2018 through illness and half of 2020 through the lockdown some years have been very low mileage
