Trying to find some tech specs or info about the touran - can anyone help as there seems to be loads of stuff on the internet and nothing specific from VW

Need some kerb weights, mpg and all round performance if you can help???

Hi Lee, we tow with an 05 1.9 TDI Touran (SE spec). We tow a S5 Bailey Ranger 510/4 and have had no problems at all. According to whattowcar.com the MTPLM of our van is 1240kg and the kerbweight of our Touran is 1598kg, giving a match of 77%. I would assume, that subject to the spec of your Touran figures wouldn't be significantly different.

The Touran is our first towcar so we have no comparisons to make to others, but we find it fine. Pulls comfortably in 6th gear even up hill on a motorway, very stable and on a motorway at a constant 60mph will get between 32-34mpg.
