Steve, a picture is a good idea, how did you insert it? I tried without success. Mal

I tow a 1987 Bailey Padgent with my Rover Metro GSI, It's a 100% match when fully loaded but tows loverly, We use the 820SI auto if it's fully loaded though.

Neither car knows the vans there and it does not effect the MPG on either.
At last, someone else that uses a Metro for towing! I used to tow with my GSi, that little 1400 engine has got quite a bit of grunt for it's size.

Keep up the good work David.

;o)

Great response everyone thanks.Looks like the majority of us tow with some sort of 4x4 and Bailey caravans seem to be leeding the way.Any thoughts?

Undoubtedly, David. Out of curiosity, how much are they to buy new?

Those Senators are popular too.

Lol

Abbey 550 Expression 07 Model (Michael Jordon Special)about 1500kg when loaded with Discovery II V8 on LPG. Jeep Commander on order, delivery early March. Can't wait, 510nm at 1600 RPM!

A 2007 Bailey Ranger 460/4 (Bailey number 4), wish we had known the new shorter Bordeaux was on the way 'cos we would have bought that. We are restricted on the length of van we can store under our carport (essential to keep the ravanges of the Aberdeenshire weather off her). Our drive is narrow too, 7'2" is he max we can have so anything wider is a no no. Ruling out all Swift group 'vans for example. Very happy with the Ranger though, an excellent 'van. And modern enough for us 30 something IKEA fiends!

We tow with a 2005 Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi (150) SRi Estate, complete with sport button on the dash! Great towcar with bags of power.

Hope this isn't too big!

We've towed our 2005 Elddis Odyssey 524 with an old 2.5TD Vauxhall Omega which towed like a train but was rusty, a VW Passat 130 Sport 4Motion which was nice and not at all rusty, and will be towing this season with a newly accquired Seat Alhambra Tdi 130 cos we were either going to have to leave the beer fridge home or one of the kids and as one provides refreshment and the other does the washing up, I bought a bigger car! I've heard the Alhambra makes a superb tug though.
