I have both. Prefer to use the Alko hub lock as feel it is the most secure and insurance require it. But if having to use a ramp to level when on a site pitch and the wheel will not line up with the receiver I use the other lock on the offside wheel.
PS, if you buy a second hand Alko make sure you have the registration with it, so you can transfer to yourself. If not and you loose the Key Alko will not assist you for a replacement.

Alko are very secure but can be awkward to fit. I use a Milenco on site but would have preferred a Nemesis at home in hindsight. As already said, check to see if your insurance has a preference stated.

Why not? I bought second hand Alko lozenge and then the lock set separately. But I made sure that the lock set had been de=registered first so that I could then register it with Alko. But when touring I used a lighter Milenco wheel lock. Far less fiddly than Alko. But these days I would buy the Nemesis or Milenco equivalent and use that when touring and at home/storage.

When I got this van it had Al-ko fitted, registered* to the previous owner. I bought an unregistered lock barrel from eBay and sold the registered one the same way. Cost me about £10.

Have a look on Ebay, there are lozenges of all sorts for sale on there. The lock work with any lozenge!
