Both sites you mentioned are on the outskirts, One is opposite the park & ride the other you drive to, neither score high marks

Try Mr Targett at Penn Hill Rd, Bath right near the Park and Ride. He has a web site www.penn-hill.com.

Newton Mill and Bath Marina are both very close to the Park and Ride as well as the Bristol - Bath cycle route.

Have not stayed at either but have heard good things about both, they are both quite close to the A4 so you may get a bit of traffic noise.

We had our wedding reception on a boat along this stratch to Bath, have brilliant pictures of us with Poultney weir and bridge behind us - my favourite bit of Bath.

Stayed at Newton Mill very quite mixture of tourers, tents and seasonal tourers - nice resturant - close to cycle way leading into Bath. Much better than Bath marina
