Where's Ma Post ?

i posted a wee joke in here re 4x4 owners, an now i dont see it, where has it went ?

also replied to one about terrorism, and its gone as well, whats happening ?.

Hi Highlander

I've only recently come in so I can't offer much information at the moment.

What section did your post appear in and did it actually appear on the forum webpage?

Sometimes it's possible to submit a post at the same time as another member and the post doesn't 'connect' even though you clicked on 'submit'.

If it had appeared and has since disappeared I will try to find out the details tomorrow and I will contact you when I have done so.

cheers parksy, it was in here, the chit chat room. and it did post, because i seen it earlier. it was headed as "4x4 drivers".

nae probs if it was innapropriate, im no up to date wi all the regs of the forum, but it was posted as a joke.

cheers.

I didn't see the post Euro so I can't comment at the moment.

I haven't monitored the forum from around 7.15pm until about 12.20am so maybe one of the other mods took the post down. I'll let Highlander know when I find out tomorrow.

I recall one post where you had used a 4 letter cuss word highlander replacing one letter with a *.

It didn't take much to work out what the cuss word was and the word is considered by many to be the mother of all cuss words, the crudest.

If this was the case I'm not surprised if that was the reason it was deleted.

For a pennance go sit in the corner and repeat 100 times "Hail Windy'.

I've just noticed your snake bite post has gone too highlander. I've a feeling you used a bad cuss word in that so it looks like I could have guessed right.

In fairness it was a bad word to use in a public forum so as an extra pennance go gargle your mouth out in holy maids water :O)

oh dear, highlander has been a naughty wee boy.

if any content of my deleted posts caused offence to any of you fellow members, then none was intended, so there.

I haven't found anything definite out yet Highlander but if your jokes were adult or contained strong language or even abbreviations referring to certain words your posts would be removed. Haymarket Publishing has no control over who can gain access to this forum or website so we try to avoid causing offence.

Similarly if you used insulting terminology when referring to police or any one else for that matter your post would be removed.

Have a read through forum etiquuette which can be accessed by clicking the link in the pale blue rectangle in the title header or by clicking here

You probably broke rule number 1

A general rule of thumb is that if Practical Caravan magazine would not include a post in their magazine then it could be deleted from this forum.

parksy, i have the greatest respect for our police force and would never ever condemn them or criticise their actions, they have a career which attracts both praise and criticisms from certain parties, i am one who praises. the joke made a reference to one of the slang words used for the police, but it also refered to a farm animal, and that was the giest of the joke. as i said, no harm intended. and also, i copied the joke from one of the monthly motorcycle magazines joke page, an im pretty sure there are plenty of our fine officers who also contribute and read them.

cheers.
