BB Do you think if we lived in a very wet rainy part of the Country you might change them more or less often? Little use might not do the rubber any good🤔Seeing my car on 7,800 miles I change my front wipers when they are on 10,000
I'd hope that's a joke - but I suspect not.We change ours when they fail the MOT.
Perhaps we should be paying more attention.

It is not the mileage or even the time, it is the environment that causes damage i.e sun & cold weather. Generally it would be about every 2 - 3 years.Seeing my car on 7,800 miles I change my front wipers when they are on 10,000

May be Mel only drives in the dry😉I'd hope that's a joke - but I suspect not.

Always aware of safety so if needed would change them straight away so would continue to have good vision when driving.BB Do you think if we lived in a very wet rainy part of the Country you might change them more or less often? Little use might not do the rubber any good🤔
I always wonder if cleaning your car in automatic car washers, that supply "shine stuff" to your bodywork and the windscreens, leaves a film of "stuff"Always aware of safety so if needed would change them straight away so would continue to have good vision when driving.
Yes it does, and hand car washes too. I tend to do my own cleaning, albeit not very often.I always wonder if cleaning your car in automatic car washers, that supply "shine stuff" to your bodywork and the windscreens, leaves a film of "stuff"
I was offered Gardx at £499, but you would get a better job and probably cheaper using a professional detailer. The latest "in" thing is supposed to be polishing the car with ceramic polish. I wonder if this ceramic coating actually work at keeping the car clean or is it another expensive rip off? We were offered it at time of purchase, but declined their kind offer as it would have cost about £900 to apply.
At £18.99 surely it can’t be better than say auto glym super resin polish or Meguiars?I was offered Gardx at £499, but you would get a better job and probably cheaper using a professional detailer.
My thoughts exactly as a dealer probably would not do a decent professional job taking into consideration the state of our car on collection.I was offered Gardx at £499, but you would get a better job and probably cheaper using a professional detailer.
Were you not too happy with the Lexus condition then? My ex SIL’s mother has had a Lexus IS200 since 2000 and it’s been brilliant. A full 25 year service history. For the first few years they even replaced her wheels when kerbed. My thoughts exactly as a dealer probably would not do a decent professional job taking into consideration the state of our car on collection.
On day of collection we arrive at Lexus dealership and car is under a black car cover. Before they removed the cover they asked us if we would like to take pictures of them removing the cover. We both had a good chuckle and said no.Were you not too happy with the Lexus condition then? My ex SIL’s mother has had a Lexus IS200 since 2000 and it’s been brilliant. Congratulations! You have won this months badge for, “ I’ve done my bit for net zero”😉Lot more economical than the Jeep.
