A quick question. When bringing a live feed to the refrigerator/battery relay, should it be a permanent live or ignition switched live ie an alternator feed
You refer to a relay so I presume you are using one. The live feed is just that, permanently live. Make sure you do include a fuse though, as Peter suggests. Maplins used to do blade fuse link, not sure if they still do.
It's the switched live that comes from an ignition switch live. In the past I've piggybacked off the thin wire that goes to the alternator. A multimeter would tell you if this is suitable on your car.
