Morning ‘Woosies’, sat here on this Derbyshire Cl peering into the fog. We are on a farm Cl at the top of a hill overlooking the Erewash Valley, (½ term duties!) - usually in the distance we can see the control tower at E. Midlands airport, but not this morning – can hardly see across the next field! Granddaughter “ I padding” still in bed, wife – “Sudukoing”, me just ‘laptopping’ before my ‘Woosie’ duties. Just been looking at Woosie post 3297, and thinking why aren't there more people rushing to join us Woosies? Is it perhaps time we started recruiting? Get some more interesting joiners. (Not that there is anything wrong with our current round table members, far from it, they are great company.) But a bit of new blood (metaphorically) might just expand the ‘subject’ base and give us a bit more chat, and a few more stories. Come on folks be a little jealous of the ‘fun’ we have at our yearly meet up and chat, or are you shy? Go for membership with us, qualifications are required, - sense of humour mainly.

Just washed our minibus and dysoned the inside. Very warm here so down to my t shirt.
Gabs there are a lot of Woosies who have gone quiet or maybe just moved on elsewhere. Some have sold their caravans because of ill health eg Sir Chunky and Sir Mucky pup.
But yes. Let's have a Woosie drive! :)
Anyone know what happened to Kopite?

What would a Woosie Recruitment drive look like? Perhaps a brand new thread with the Come and join the Woosies message. I am all for it; the more the merrier.

Yes, it looks like I need to do a DIY cable.

Edit - Found this one, so ordered it. :)

The one I ordered is made by W4 and as AL-KO did not respond to my email I contacted W4 regarding the design. Very nice chap assured me it met all the requirements and that they manufacture for other suppliers. The clip fits nicely on the pre-formed eye. Oh what an elegant solution.

You really need to write the "Gafferbill Guide to Retirement" as I have the feeling that you and Belinda have got it right. Have a lovely time.

Not in such an exotic clime as 'Bill' - but nevertheless away again, if only so 'she' can go watch granddaughter in Hamlet. (I'm excused, hearing difficulties can sometimes be advantageous? )On our usual Cl in Derbyshire, when visiting daughter, not had a bad afternoon, but wind getting up now, and a 'bit' exposed up here, But seeing as I'm excused duties this evening, beer 'testing' now making sure it's not gone off. 1st. one hasn't!

Went to the storage site this morning to try the hookup on the new car and all appeared OK. The towball fitted nicely and all the electrics worked, with the car inhibiting its own rear fog light but not the reversing light. I do have a test board at home to check fridge and battery charge which I had tried before hand and the car's own information panel displayed in words in turn a failure on each of the other lines. These modern cars are good ;) and am very pleased with it.

The existing Milenco mirrors fitted as well so I don't have to write any more letters to the magazine in the hope of getting a new set.

We called in to the dealer on the way back to check to see if they had had a reply from Lunar re the cracks. They received a letter yesterday authorising the repairs under warranty, but the dealer does not know the form/extent of the repair until the parts arrive in a few weeks time. :(

Edit - the weather was inclement so we didn't stay at storage to fit the clip-on breakaway cable.
