Grey,
I see The Red Lion do a Quiz every Sunday evening.

We could all use that if you wish and save yours for say Monday?
Just a thought.
Cheers

We are going to the pub on Saturday evening, so why not do our quiz that same night as planned, some may not be there Sunday evening and in any case our Jacobs table is scheduled for Sunday evening? We cannot do both on Sunday evening.

Jacobs table Sunday lunchtime, surely, so that if anyone away on Monday mornings, come on Dusty, are the tablets working. The ugley ones are, :p

The quiz on Saturday night as planned is good, and Grey has put some time and effort into prepping for it; research all things South African if you want to score maximum points ;) .

Great thing about the Woosie's is the relative lack of organisation, so if people decide to go on to the Red Lion pub quiz on Sunday evening then that choice is fully open to all.

I'm looking forward to the Sunday get-together and catching up with folks I haven't seen for quite some time. :)

As the boss / master planning the event, you should decide on what should happen regarding functions at the Woosie meet.

My suggestion would be:

Since we have no access to the barn on Friday evening and some may arrive latish it should be left informal and as usual people just wander around introducing themselves and greeting each other

PS Remember there may also be fresh baked pizzas that evening for those that enjoy them. (especially the kids amongst us)

Saturday evening we planned to go to the Red Lion and have a customary meal and pub quiz.

Sunday afternoon evening was scheduled to be the Jacobs table. I am happy to book the barn so that we can have ready made use of tables and undercover meeting place in case of bad weather. It may also not be a bad idea in case we may, just may, make a bit more noise that we expect!

In my opinion to try and have it at lunch time and then still toddle off to the Red Lion will scupper the whole atmosphere and intent off the Jacobs table where we are all meant to relax and enjoy each other’s company at leisure. (I recall some hi jinks at the last spring Jacobs table meet)

I for one will leave Monday morning so will miss any planned events on Monday.

Anyway I have spoken to Elm Cottage RE barn and all we need to do is firm up the plan.

That is where you come in!

Sorry folks but I'm finding it difficult to raise any enthusiasm for anything at the moment, (one or two health issues) so can I ask Alan to assume my responsibilities for the foreseeable and get 'organised'? As I don't want to let the Woosies down, - Ps. I'm still expecting to join you in Sept. and enjoy your company again.

Hutch and Elaine +2 dogs
Dusty Dog and Lady Villa + 2 dogs
Anseo and Pressie,
Sir Gab, and The Boss.

Hi Grey,

The past Woosie Monarchs agreed to share this year’s tasks in the absence a new appointee last year.
It is encumbent upon the old Woosie Monarchs to select the new King /Queen for 2019/20. The selection has been made and all the usual preparations for the crowning ceremony are well in hand, if not finalised.
I fully agree with your proposals for Friday and Saturday. Saturday at The Red Lion will be the Woosie Coronation, meal and your quiz.
Sunday holding the Jacobs table bash in the Barn from say 1- 2.00 pm will be great Judging by previous year’s performance I doubt very much indeed many will have the appetite or ability to have another session elsewhere Sunday night.
Please will you organise the Barn for the Sunday. You help in liaising with the Site will really help. I have been busy at lately sorting out my 93 year old mum plus one of our Springers went down with Pancreatitis whilst away two weeks ago.
If you are happy to organise the Site aspects as above I and others , will make sure the new Monarch officially Knight’s you with a BAR as well!
Cheers

Will do. Bar sounds just fine. Will it be stocked with a dram or two and some beers, wine etc! Anseo mate we may be in luck here. Note: Anseo we should get some straps to keep some in their chairs so they don,t need help lifting off the ground!
