I have heard that you are supposed to say "rabbits" on the first of the month. No idea why.

are open to any suggestions as any thing above Somerset and of course Hereford will be new to us. My sweetheart and I could stay a bit longer to venture around the area.

We turned out to a local nurses home a few years ago, to a nurse with finger trapped in plug hole
We had to force an entry to her flat & found her undressed (she had just got out of the shower) with her finger trapped in the plug hole & trying to cover her modesty as best she could.
There was a rush to try & release her from her predicament for some reason

The worst thing I have had to encounter was having to rescue a colleague trapped in a flash over. 3 of us got him out but he died of his injuries

You seem to have done a lot of heroic things and must be commended for them. You put us Woosies to shame as we are wimps. Outside of your profession have you done any wimpish things you would like to tell us about

A quick look at the map shows Derby/Nottingham area about half-way between Devon and Yorkshire. Any suggestions? We are fairly relaxed on dates as we don't have youngsters (only tied to home matches

How about wanting to greet friends on a rally, so instead of walking round the front of the car, went round the back of car, tripped over the "A" frame of the caravan & landed face down in a patch of mud

Oh dear oh dear, back from Damp Devon, finished washing the mud orf the awning and have hosed the groundsheet down, what fun. Going to be very anal over the next week or so as looking at emptying the van (unlikely to go away before the new one arrives) going to do a full inventory, all photographed, all priced and all weighed!!

Hmm next meet??? we're going to be governed by family court decisions over the next couple of months so until we know the out come of hearings etc, we're not sure what we can and can't do or when! At the moment weekends need to be within spitting distance of home but that may change or not! Obviously holidays are all around school times. February we'll be in Hampshire, Easter willl be North Devon, Half term willl be local, August South Devon, local (for Jen to go to work) Hampshire again. October half term will be North Devon again. That's the general plan at the moment anywayish!!
