Maybe we need to consider a date shift by a week or so , outside of Bank Holidays, or look elsewhere.

Sorry I cant change the date, promised the grandson the week away, (half term for him)
daughter, Ladygaga, and myself have all booked hols from work.
1)Maybe a bit later then as Sir Sprocket says,
2)and as Sir Dusty says away from the bank hols
3) Alternatively if folks still want a small meet we could widen the search area.

King Gagakev
Sir Dustydog
Lightpole man
Lady Di Di
Sir WC
Sir Delidave?
Sir Kopite?
Any Thoughts?

We're still up for a meet.
His Royal Woosieness is furtherst away regarding The Peaks. If he wants something closer to home that's fine with us. It does seem most sites are capitalising on making the May Bank Holiday a High Season rating. But that's business.
If Rivenhall can take us that's ok with me.
Shrewsbury is also an interesting place if there's anywhere there suitable.
smiley-undecided.gif

My front lawn looks a real mess this morning. I think the caravans would sink

This is a nice large site near Banbury that may be of interest......... but obviously not in the peak district.

http://www.bo-peep.co.uk/
There are some nice pubs in the nearby village of Adderbury 1.2 miles from Bo Peep campsite...............

http://www.oldenglishinns.co.uk/adderbury/
I have been to Rivendale and Bo Peep........and they are both good campsites.

I would be up for joining the meet whenever/wherever?

We have nothing against bo-peep, other than grass pitches only (?). Can never trust the weather
smiley-frown.gif

After end of May would be in peak season at £22 per night, 98 miles distance for us.
And for those with dogs - £2 per dog per VISIT

Rivendale will do us also, as it is nearer to Nottingham where we would like to visit relatives for a couple of days afterwards.
After May would be low season (for a few weeks) at £18.50 + £2 awning per night. Those with dogs would be another £2 per dog per night.
Distance 154 miles, so not too bad.

We can,t do half term week. But if you are going another time we can probably come along. It will depend on youngest daughter teen-sitting the foster son, but more wiggle room than half term. We can,t do half term as we had promised elder daughter, son in law and grandchildren aholiday and so needed to book a place where we could book them a static. We will therefore be at Hidden valley in devon for half term. If the Woosie rally vacates the half term week, anyone who finds themselves at Hidden valley can call in for a beer!

Rivendale OK with us as there is plenty in the area for the grandson, Alton towers etc
Fellow Woosies, due to the higher prices during this week and the majority of you are able to do other dates at cheaper rates
you wont offend us if you choose another one------------I will miss you though

Having looked at the prices for the half-term week they are £6.50 per night dearer than the following week. Therefore we have decide not to go over the holiday period. Availability is likely to be better, also.

Sorry

, However the King has granted it:

Hi Sir Dusty, can confirm my dates as above (25/05/13 to 01/06/13 = 7 nights)
This seems to leave me as the odd one out as many others are availible to go the following week which is understandable as the pitch fee's drop considerably. We have promised the grandson that week and for other reasons
cannot on this occassion change.
Sir Wc, Sir Gab, Lady Mel, your good self and indeed even Sir Sprocket mentioned he may be able to attend. A better turn-out than half term week

Dusty you cannot and will not please every-one all the time of which I understand so I say go for the following week.
We would then stay a bit closer to home and save some of the fuel cost, for the October meet.

How-ever dont think you will go un-supervised with the King Absent--
I will organise and appoint a Temporary King/Queen.
A poll may take place to allow you to decide who this should be and it is to make you think you have a say in the running of the club, (but my mind is already made up on the royal appointment of the stand in King/Queen
