Updated list

King Gagakev Rivendale Half term 25/05/13 to 01/06/13 = 7 nights
Sir Dustydog Rivendale Any date
Lightpole man
Lady Di Di
Sir WC Rivendale NOT half term (prefer following weekend)
Sir Delidave Rivendale
Sir Kopite?
Sir Baldrick Rivendale Any date
Sir Gab Rivendale 31/5/13 - 3/06/13 (But most dates possible)
Morning King Gagakev
Please can you reconfirm the dates?
We are planning on the week after the bank holiday which means Lady Mel will be able to join in??

Hi Sir Dusty, can confirm my dates as above (25/05/13 to 01/06/13 = 7 nights)
This seems to leave me as the odd one out as many others are availible to go the following week which is understandable as the pitch fee's drop considerably. We have promised the grandson that week and for other reasons
cannot on this occassion change.
Sir Wc, Sir Gab, Lady Mel, your good self and indeed even Sir Sprocket mentioned he may be able to attend. A better turn-out than half term week

Dusty you cannot and will not please every-one all the time of which I understand so I say go for the following week.
We would then stay a bit closer to home and save some of the fuel cost, for the October meet.

How-ever dont think you will go un-supervised with the King Absent--
I will organise and appoint a Temporary King/Queen.
A poll may take place to allow you to decide who this should be and it is to make you think you have a say in the running of the club, (but my mind is already made up on the royal appointment of the stand in King/Queen

Mel thats so sweet thanks for the offer but as we have a full week we will go just that little bit further as we have covered North Devon many times, shame as our grandson is 6 yrs old, thanks again.

As we thought of going at a different time we downloaded the booking form and notcied that on weekends you pay the high season rate? Hopefully others are aware of this. We would probably do a Sunday to Thursday booking when we decide to go.

Looking at their site plan it shows 18 of the caravan pitches as 'seasonal' pitches, and the remaining 6 as 'all year', so not sure if they have touring pitches.
smiley-cry.gif

That wasn't my understanding. I think those 18 pitches are the fully servcied pitches with water and waste points. Probably best to phone them as cheaper than Rivendale especially if you have dogs plus fixed price throughout the year with 25% off for midweek stays.

As nobodyelse has committed to Rivendale for the week we intended going
smiley-cry.gif
we have decide to change tack and have booked the CC club site at Much Wenlock for the same week (2/6 to 9/6). This site is closer to home and cheaper (£11 per night) as it doesn't have a toilet block, but does have EHU. This will be our chance to fully try out the facilities of the new van (including the Woosie pot) before it reaches its first birthday in July.
If any other Woosie would like to join us for part or all of that week we would be pleased to see them
smiley-smile.gif
and partake in a jug or two.
Happy holidays to all.

After much discussion we have decided to put Rivendale on the back burner. Looks like we shall have to wait until the autumn for a full blown Woosie gathering.

There is a half term holiday in October. If we have Woosies who want to bring children or grandchildren, it would be worth them declaring their interest. If not then avoiding the half term dates may make it cheaper, which seems to have been a consideration for some in May (although the Bank Holiday was a big factor).
We would like to join anyone going and are keeping October free! School hols not a huge consideration as have daughter to coerce to teen-sit. Won't be bringing grandchildren either.
