central field will be great. Lovely if we can all 'be togever'! Talked to hubby, and he's looking forward to some 'socialising' especially if it involves good beer.

Hi folks,
Had a change of plan, so before I let it get too far, please remove me from the list for Stowford. Sorry but something else has cropped up in our plans. Sorry if I've messed anyone about, but easier to withdraw at this stage than later. {And probably cheaper?}

p.s.
If I hadn't already got your email addresses in my contacts I have taken the addy's from the forum membership account, apologies to Gagakev, I forwarded your hotmail email address which I have down as your personal one rather that the alternative address which I have listed as your works email address, but I've forwarded the latter on the new list.
We're happy to go with the flow wherever everyone else is happy to pitch at Stowford, we hope to go from Tuesday 29th April and leave on the morning of Thursday 8th May, which gives us three nights before and three nights after the three rally nights- Nine nights in total.

Last time most of us were pitched in deep mud. I had to use the mover and wooden boards to get up the muddy bank onto the roadway. There was absolutely no room for the car to get hitched up. I suspect even with muy mud plugging tyres I would have got stuck.
From memory the best pitches for ease of use are 366 - 372 , 417 ,418, 427 -443 hedge side.
Looking at Stowford's site map the pitch numbers you quote are to the northerly side of trees and therefore unlikely to get much sun, if it graces us with its pleasure

. I do agree that we should try and get pitches directly off the hard roads though. I will contact Stowford re an up-to-date booking form.

The best pitches are the ones at the rear and at the top of the park as they were almost level. Most pitches at Stowford require some sort of aid under the front steadies even on single axle caravans. On twins it was a nightmare.
We were allocated a pitch for our twin axle where even fully extended steadies with two large blocks under still did not touch the ground. They then allocated us another pitch in another part of the park which was somewhat better. In 2011 where Steve was parked (1st meet of the Woosies) it was not too bad.
Unfortunately Google Earth does not show how sloping the ground is in areas.

Hi DD
My understanding is that we are going for block booking HRH WC was going to collate all sealed envelopes (all woosies to complete booking form and enclose cheque), he will then send to Stowford so we can be located together.
Not sure booking is open as yet though unless in next issue?

I have checked with Stowford and they are taking bookings for the PCv Rally by 'phone in the absence of a formal booking form, which will be printed in the next magazine. The details required are those on Stowford's 2013 Resevation Form, but payment required in full at time of booking. We can use the 2013 form and annotate that it is for the Rally. At present there are 5 confirmed parties including ourselves:
Dame Crazyguider
King WC
Lady Di Di
Parksy
Sir Dustydog
If you want to send me your sealed envelope (with booking form and remittance) I will place a block booking by, say, middle of next week. I will send an email to you all today with my postal address.
