We're in August. Not long now to the Woosie Fest. Would Sir Sprocket kindly deploy the countdown clock please.

BTW we've managed to extend our stay, now arriving in 21st Sept :cheer:

Lady G informs me she will be providing her special Cheesy Potato Pie (Very Yummy) her special Savoury Rice; Knowing her, she will do something else as well, so can you include these into the festive feast.

Looking forward to seeing everybody again.

Cheers,

Sir Brian of Stevenage. B)

I take it you are talking about the rather large (ish) soup bowl that sits at the rear of the 'van!

Lady G tried once, and it was nearly soup for all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have resumed the duty.

we are off to Stockport next week. Corrie Studio Tour, shopping for her indoors and visit to Chester. Staying at Elm Beds Caravan Park right next to canal. can't be bad, then off for the big bash.

See you there.

Have you been here before?

I had two weeks at Elm Bank last Easter. See Ukcampsite reviews. A very good tasty Chinese home delivery is available and The Miners Arms does excellent grub.
An interesting site. Adequate and enjoyable but not what you may be expecting!
What are you expecting?
We used our own toilet and shower the whole holiday. No problem for a Woosie.
And yes I will use Elm Bank again. Just be very clear it is not a CC type site.

Thanks Sir Dustydog,

I expect it will be quite basic but the thing l am looking foward to is having the canal outside the front window.

I get the impression that the site owners are quite laid back.

Like you we are fully self sufficient so no problem I.

Back for a fortnight then off to Ferry Meadows, and the a week later, the Big One. Can't wait.

Best Wishes,

Sir Brian. B)

We're back - after spending 10 nights in her Majesty's back garden in Windsor. Though I'd better get the royal approval for my chosen successor next month. :)

And did her majesty approve?
That reminds me still a have to visit the Monks at Buckfast Abbey for the the Tonic wine, for the official toast,
Better get an extra bottle this year, two reasons, more Woosie's this year and LadyVilla loved it :p

I hear you offered Liz an honorary Queenhood with the Woosies.
I hope she approved your proposed next Royal Woosieness.
Did she lend you a crown?

Yes, I did offer Liz honorary membership but she felt she couldn't compete with our existing honorary member, so she graciously declined the kind offer. :(

However she did give royal assent to the chosen replacement. ;) As for the crown, the royal family are having to tighten their belts as well and therefore a crown was not available. I will send lady Squirrel out to purchase a new one.

Well done Crazy Guider, we both have letters in the latest mag. ;) Congratulations on achieving your towing skills. Do you still need Sir Fixalot??

Hope there's plenty of towing mirrors left ;)
We're off for our annual visit to the Twinwood Festival on Tuesday week, we stay on a nice Certified Site near to the arena before going to the festival campsite on Thursday morning where we will meet up with Sir Deli Dave and Lady Linda, then a 1940s weekend and dance at Stoke Bruerne before Wheatalot.
We're going to Wheatalot a day earlier than originally planned because I have to be elsewhere on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons when we're there.

Thanks for your seal of approval about the letter, and congrats on being included, too! Towing mirrors are fine as well. What the original post should've read was that I reversed onto a pitch for the first time, and that aided only by a 14 yr old, which is quite an achievement. I regularly tow the van, and after this last week I've had more hitching and pitching practice as Sir F was at work when I went to Burrowhayes again, so the site owner gave instructions while I did the reversing. I'm almost getting confident, now :silly:

There a Caravan Club certified location next to the pub and the canal at Stoke Bruerne, details of C&CC rallies can be hard to find but we've applied for re-enactor camping via the booking form. You could just pop over for the day if it's not too far, it's not a bad day out :)
